Sipp Industries Inc. (OTC: SIPC, Free Trend Analysis), a diversified conglomerate specializing in technology, manufacturing, and distribution of commercial and consumer products, recently announced the availability of advanced plasma lights designed for commercial and indoor growing applications. In Colorado, cannabis growers have reported that the technology lowers operating temperatures, decreases operating costs, and enhances yields.
“We have received excellent feedback from our initial Colorado-based growers. They have reported lower operating temperatures, decreased energy costs, as well as enhanced yield compared to their current HPS and LED lighting systems,” said Chief Executive Officer Syman Vong. “In addition, since plasma lighting is full-spectrum and closest semblance of sun light, there is no need for a bulb change during the growing cycle. Due to the early successes, the majority of our new clients are direct referrals from our current clients. We expect sales to grow and will continue to ramp up inventory and sales efforts to meet demand.”
The company’s plasma product line consists of two light models – the H400 and H1000. These are equivalent to 400W metal halide or 600W HPS and 1,000W metal halide or HPS. With optimized spectrums and energy efficiency, the solutions are ideal for indoor horticulture applications and can improve the growth cycle, taste, smell, and texture of the product while reducing energy costs by up to 60% for its target end markets.
Hemp Subsidiary Secures Order
Sipp Industries’ is also actively involved in the hemp side of the cannabis industry with its Major Hemp subsidiary that imports and sells Canadian organic hemp oil.
Earlier this month, the subsidiary was awarded a contract to fulfill a large hemp oil project for a U.S.-based manufacturer of natural products. Throughout 2016, this new customer will purchase in excess of 4,000 gallons of organic cold-pressed hemp oil. This demand is well-positioned to grow as the client expands into larger retail stores and grocery chains, which could result in greater orders in subsequent years.
“In partnership with our Canadian farmers and partners we are proud to supply the certified premium hemp ingredients on the global market today,” said Chief Executive Officer Syman Vong. “There is growing demand of organic cold-pressed hemp oil and organic deshelled hemp seeds. As hemp continues to go mainstream, specifically in the food and body care markets, we are positioned to be the leading U.S. based supplier of bulk hemp ingredients in North America.”
Hemp imports continue to rise and total hemp product sales in the U.S. are expected to exceed $600 million in 2016. Hemp seeds and hemp oil are popular ingredients in many trending organic, vegan, and gluten-free diets, products, and supplements.
